Sam is such a funny, strong willed little boy! Sometimes during sacrament meeting we have had to take Sam out for a couple of minutes so he can refocus. The past few weeks I have been taking him to the kitchen because it is usually vacant and I can let him sit on a chair in there for a couple of minutes until he is ready to go back into Sacrament meeting. So last week we had to take one of these little breaks. When he was done with his little time-out session I tried to talk to him and he just did not want to listen and kept screaming at me. I told him that if he did not stop screaming at me I would have to put pepper on his tongue (which is conveniently in the kitchen also). He just kept screaming, but when I went to get the pepper he started saying, "No Mom, no! Sammy's friend! Sammy's friend!" Him telling me not to because I am his friend softened my heart enough that I couldn't do it. I know, I am a softy. We just headed back to our meeting, but just a few minutes after we got back in he took off running up the isle. So again I had to take him out but this time all the way out he was saying, "No Mom, no!!!" You would think I beat the poor child. I couldn't help but laugh...so much for being firm, huh.

This is Sam, Seth, me, and Frosty. I don't know if you can see it or not but Sam added extra arms. So our little snow man has four arms instead of two.

Lincon came home during his break to play with the boys for a couple minutes. It was perfect timing because we were just finishing up on the snowman.

Seth was more than ready to go back inside.
This week has been so much fun! It is a week until Christmas and this week has definetly set the mood. On Monday morning we got up to find that it was all of our leaves had finally fallen off the tree and that it was snowing a little, too. We decided to take advantage of the big pile of leaves in our front yard so we pushed them all into a pile and got ready for some serious fun! Or at least I did. I had invisioned Sam and Seth rolling around in the leaves, throwing them up in the air, and watching them rain down. Sam ran back and forth in them and kicked them around but that is about as exciting as it gets. I even tried to have him make a snow angel, except with leaves instead and he looked at me like "What in the world are you doing!?!" He wouldn't move his arms like he was supposed to so I did it for him hoping that he would catch on to how much fun he could be having... oh well. Then last night it started to snow somewhere around four in the afternoon. It continued throughout the night and this morning we woke up to a yard full of snow. We got all bundled up and went outside, but for some reason Sam does not like to stay bundled up. I put clothes on him three times, but for those of you who know Sam that really isn't much of a suprise, and for those of you who really don't... he is somewhat of a nudist. Anyway.... We made a snowman and attempted snow angels again, but we basically had the same result as with the leaf angels. It was a lot of fun we just wish it would stay for Christmas. Maybe we will get lucky this year!

Ok, I think I might be finally figuring this thing out. That is so exciting considering that I set it up months ago and I have barely used it at all. Anyway, this is my little family. Sam is always so somber-faced in our pictures. It is funny because he is such a happy, enthusiastic, energetic little boy but you would never know it from his pictures. What a silly boy. They are so fun though and even though they fight like cats and dogs they love to play with each other.
